SALON has been working with Finnish headwear since 1952.

Our story began in Kaustinen, where Reino K. Salo founded Salon Lakkitehdas. What started as practical hat-making grew over the years into a Finnish family business with long experience in hats, caps and seasonal headwear.

A lot has changed since then. Materials, styles and the way people wear hats have all changed. But one thing has stayed the same: a good hat needs to feel right.

It should sit well.
It should be comfortable.
It should work with the seasons.
And it should be easy to wear again and again.

For decades, SALON has built its knowledge through real experience with warm winter hats, fabric caps, everyday hats. This is still part of how we think about every product today.
