4. Purpose of use of the register and purpose of processing personal data
The purpose of use of the register is to maintain and develop customer and/or commercial relations, use for statistical purposes, and order management and processing. The customer and user register maintains data on the users of the salon.fi online service, along with their profiles and purchases. Personal data is only used within the limits permitted by the Finnish Personal Data Act and in compliance with EU legislation on the storage of personal data.
The basis for keeping the register is direct marketing, market research, opinion polls and statistics. (section 5(4))
5. Data content of the register
Contact details provided when the customer logs in/registers, order details, website usage data, click history, usernames and passwords, purchase history, responses to competitions and surveys, data collected using cookies, and data for monitoring the delivery of orders. We save the minimum data related to the customer relationship, including the person’s name, company name and contact details, such as the address, phone number and email address.
6. Regular data sources
The online store, Google Analytics, Facebook and related and comparable systems, customer service/sales by phone and in person, and campaigns related to the marketing of the online store. Contact details and other customer relationship information in the customer register is obtained when the customer relationship is established and supplemented by notifications made to the data controller throughout the customer relationship.
7. Regular disclosure of data
Data is not disclosed to third parties, with the exception of actions related to the technical administration of the online store, marketing or shipping and payments for orders. Data is only disclosed to partners for purposes that support the concept of the register. The data contained in the register is processed electronically and protected by firewalls, passwords and other technical means as are generally accepted in the information security sector.
The materials that are updated manually are kept in premises that are protected from unauthorised access. Only designated employees of the data controller and the companies operating on the data controller’s behalf have access to the data stored in the register. Data may be made available for people on the register to check it. Customer data can be erased from the system upon request.
8. Principles for protecting the register
Data communications between R.K. Salon Lakkitehdas Oy’s online store and the customer is protected by 128-bit encryption. We invest in customer privacy, and our reliability is guaranteed by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Consumers must exercise normal vigilance and due care when using the online store.
